WORKSHOPS

Although described below as our ‘standard’ workshops, all can be delivered in a variety of formats to ensure they “hit the spot”.  Our training has been used as a 20-minute slot at a Primary Care Conference, one-hour ‘Top Tips’ talks, two-hour sessions with cream teas for Practice Manager Groups and half-day/full-day work shops for LMCs, PCTs and Practice Consortia. Delegates are always surprised at the amount and sheer useability of the handouts they are given to work on during training and take back to their own surgeries. The Certificates of Attendance that are issued may be used as evidence of knowledge gained to prove “competence” in Health & Safety, for QOF and CPD.

HEALTH & SAFETY IN PRACTICE
(DOING WHAT’S GOTTA BE DONE!)
A practical overview to ensure that Partners and Managers are aware of, and keep up-to-date with, current Health & Safety legislation and Best Practice for surgeries.

HASSLE-FREE HEALTH & SAFETY
AND RISK ASSESSMENT
A session that puts the common sense back into Health & Safety compliance.  Every delegate returns confidently to their Practice knowing not only what they have to do, what tasks can be delegated and how to go about making it all happen.

MAKING MOLEHILLS OUT OF
RISK ASSESSMENT MOUNTAINS
A lively workshop that proves Risk Assessment isn’t a ‘Dark Art’! It gives delegates the knowledge, practice and confidence to carry out the right, meaningful assessments back in their own surgeries.

GET YOUR POLICY DOCUMENT SORTED! A practical, one-day course for those having already purchased a Health & Safety Pack to get their Policy Document and Action Plans written in the minimum of time and effort.  The networking is tremendous and produces wonderful examples of sharing Best Practice.

STAFF INDUCTION IN HEALTH & SAFETY A session that fulfils the employer’s legal requirement to inform staff and furthermore emphasises the fact that Health & Safety is not just ‘red tape’!’

CORPORATE MANSLAUGHTER – IS YOUR PRACTICE AT RISK? This is a session for those that want a more detailed look at Health & Safety legislation.  Often accompanied by a cream tea to sweeten “the pill”, delegates explore how to prove their “due diligence”, ensure their Practice’s compliance and keep-up-to-date.

MANUAL HANDLING AND WORKSTATION ASSESSMENT This workshop will enable the surgery’s “Responsible Person” to carry out their role assessing and managing the use of workstations and manual handling with competence and confidence.

Please contact us to discuss either setting up your own session or to be included in one of our workshops.
