THE COMPANY

We have been successfully operating for 10 years and short-listed for the Somerset Business of the Year Awards.  We work nationally but particularly in the South West with companies of every size, type and industry sector.  Strong links are maintained with organisations such as Business Link, Chambers of Commerce (Health & Safety Service Provider for Somerset), Federation of Small Businesses and West of England Aerospace Forum.  All our Trainers and Coaches have a wealth of practical experience to offer businesses and are dedicated to supporting those at the front line who are actually tasked with Health & Safety responsibilities in the workplace.
 
HOW WE GOT HERE   THE MANAGING DIRECTOR

They say that the biggest oaks can grow from the smallest acorns…well that’s certainly true for Linden Ruskin.  In 1996, she accepted a project from Wiltshire Health Authority to develop a means for its 92 surgeries to not only comply quickly and easily with legislation but also keep it up-to-date.

She discovered that the main challenge was in wading through the vast amount of paperwork to find out what really (legally) needed to be done.  The result of her back to basics approach was the Pack – a simple, yet comprehensive step-by-step tool kit. From there, it didn’t take long ….. a single conversation with her hairdresser and Linden realised that her straight forward approach could be translated to fit a wide range of businesses; each customised with examples to fit their specific needs and industry best practice.  The rest, as they say, is history!

Linden Ruskin is Chair of the Avon Occupational Safety & Health Group and a Mentor for a variety of business organisations.  She runs regular ‘Getting Your Head Around Health & Safety’ roadshows to raise awareness that Health & Safety is not rocket science but can be easily understood - with a little help.
 

THE TEAM        

Our efficient, friendly administrative staff, trainers, coaches and experts have developed a considerable track-record for removing the huge spectre and burden of Health & Safety from businesses.  Yet …… they never forget how scary it can be identifying hazards or assessing risks that could save a colleague from serious injury or even death.  Maybe that is the secret of their success: their passion for removing the fear factor and just getting it sorted!
